Some minerals are going to become very rare or
extinct soon like the ones mined in Mumbai
(Bombay) due to construction boom and shutting
down of mines. These are Okenite in particular,
and also Prehnite, Gyrolite, Cubic calcite, etc.

Same is the case with Cavansite, a majority of
which is mined in the Wagholi area, once on the
outskirts of Pune city. Urbanization and construction
activity has now reached Wagholi, due to which,
land prices in Wagholi have begun to match those in Pune city.
